Small dumpsters are ideal for homeowners tackling weekend projects: garage and attic cleanouts, single-room remodels, small bathroom renovations, yard waste cleanup, and decluttering before a move. If your project generates more than a few trash cans worth of debris but doesn't warrant a full-size construction container, a small dumpster is the sweet spot.

Bagster (3 cubic yards): Costs $30 for the bag plus $150–$300+ for pickup. Total: $180–$330 for just 3 cubic yards. Good for a single-room cleanout, but a 10 yard dumpster gives you 3x the capacity for a similar or slightly higher price.

Junk removal service:Runs $200–$600+ depending on volume. They do the loading for you, which is the main advantage. But you pay a premium for labor, and you typically need to schedule within a tight window. If you're doing a project over several days, a dumpster gives you flexibility.

Small roll off dumpster (10–15 yard): $250–$550 for 7–14 days. You load at your own pace. Best value per cubic yard, and the rental period means you can work on your project over a weekend or across multiple days.
