“One Star (only because zero isn’t an option) Republic Services is hands down the worst waste management company I have ever dealt with. Their service is consistently unreliable—pickups are often delayed by days or skipped entirely, leaving garbage to pile up. And when you try to address the issue, good luck! Their customer service is an absolute joke. You’ll either be on hold for ages, passed from one unhelpful representative to another, or told they “can’t do anything about it.” What kind of company charges you for a service they blatantly fail to provide? Republic Services is a pathetic excuse for a legitimate business. They show zero accountability, zero respect for their customers, and zero effort to improve. If you’re considering using them, don’t. Save yourself the frustration and go with a company that actually values its customers. Avoid Republic Services at all costs. They are a literal dumpster fire—pun intended.”

“The absolute worst. They miss trash collection at least once a month (on Fridays), and when I call to complain, they “schedule” to come back out - usually the following Tuesday (four days later!) - but almost never do, so trash sits in the can until Friday. Also at least once a month, they leave half the trash in my cans. Weeks like this one, both things happened the same week. I never pack the cans in a way trash is difficult to get out, and they sit at the end of my driveway in plain view, not obscured by anything. If I had the option to switch to a different company, I would in a heartbeat, but my city’s contract is with them, so I’m stuck. Look at the other reviews here. It’s obviously not just me.”

“First off I'd like to say Republic don't even waste your time replying "We're sorry for the blah blah blah". If you were genuinely regretful for how shitty your service is you'd just fix it. Second my issue with your services is that some how our trash bin is consistently missed even when it is placed for pick up nearly exactly how the rest of our street places theirs yet their bins are NEVER missed. I will state that there have been times where my dear husband had placed the bin for pick up when it was full of tile… without requesting service for that type of pick up. But the missed pickups I am referring to are times when it was regular trash. I don't know if there is simply no reprimand for your employees but clearly someone in your staff is treating us with their personal judgement rather than their job title. Nothing in life is free but your services are for us and at this point I'd rather pay another company with competent workers.”

“I would like to preface by saying I am a young adult and experiencing things like how trash service works. I’ve learned that you cannot simply place more than your trash/extremely heavy trash without notice. Since learning these things through experience I have taken the proper steps for instances like these now but we still experience issues with our trash not being picked up when it is regular trash. As many times as we’ve called and complained it seems the problem is not being resolved. I’d rather pay a horse and buggy to pick up our trash at this point.”
