WASTE CONNECTIONS LONE STAR - AUSTIN

“This is the worst company to go through ! We have been waiting 3 weeks for TRASHCANS that we have to pay to start up !!! I have been calling and they give me the run around I have to check and see if they have added my trashcans to their route, and guess what it’s always another day. They say they give you a call back but they never do if you speak to Blanca or Kaylee they are full of crap!!! Will say anything to just hang up and avoid providing services. I left trash on the side of the road as they stated I could until my trashcans arrive and guess what , my trash is still there on the side of the road. They have no consideration for anything or anyone. If you can avoid this company I strongly advise. They only care about you making a payment , they don’t care that I have to have TRASH PILING UP ON MY PROPERTY causing flies and odors near my home.”

“After refusing to pick up the garbage for two weeks, I call waste connections to see what's going on. They tell me a vehicle is blocking the driveway area that they use to turn around in. I tell them I'll make sure my tenant parks in a corner of the driveway on the pick up day & that I should've been notified when this was an issue, not just ignored and refused service. I pay for an additional pick up with the car in the corner and I don't hear anything from them. Tuesday comes again and they tell me the car is in the way. The car is on the corner and they have 24 ft of space to back up into. I ask my account manager to work with me here and they told me dispatch isn't working to compromise & the car can't be there on Tuesdays. Horrible communication and the drivers are inconsistent and drama queens. This is the problem when one company has a monopoly on the area”

“I started service with waste connections right when I moved. I paid for a full month of service with them promising to get me my carts on the Monday my service started. When my carts didn’t show, I called and asked when they would get delivered. They said the following Monday they would be next delivery date but I could leave up to 13 trash bags outside my house. They picked up my trash bags the following service day but still didn’t deliver the carts! Then the following week I put out trash bags again while waiting for my carts and not only did they not bring the carts, they also didn’t take the trash! Cmon now.. smh I paid for a month of service to get like 3 bags of trash taken”

“Waste Connections has been difficult to deal with ever since we started using them. I am a property manager in East Austin. They have denied us service on multiple occasions due to the driver not liking something, this time it was "a turn the driver is not comfortable with" last time "a low power line" that was WELL above the trucks. We had no issue with the prior trash company before, whose huge trucks came in here every other day and never had an incident and never complained. Not only this but Waste Connections does not even call or contact us in any way to let us know of such issues. We pay our bills on time. We only find out because our dumpsters start overflowing and when we call, we find out it is because of some issue that no one was notified of. Their communication is lacking and they cut service with no notice. Do not recommend them.”
