“My trash can was taken by a Rumpke collector with no prior warning or notice. I called the same day it happened and have now been waiting over a week for any resolution. I have only been told that while the driver has been showing up everyday for work, they are still “waiting on the driver to respond” as to why they took my can, and that they can wait up to 10 business days before responding. That means you can miss trash collection cycles because of mismanagement and poor communication. It is unacceptable for a company providing a vital service like waste collection to allow internal communication issues to delay basic customer service, especially when under contract with a municipality. A customer should not be without service because a company like Rumpke cannot promptly communicate with its own employees. Right now, I’m piling up trash bags on the floor of my garage, praying a raccoon doesn’t get in and ruin my day. This is a direct consequence of the aforementioned mismanagement and subpar communication, and one I don’t think Rumpke is thinking about all too much with their current rules around response times to customer needs. EDIT: I sincerely hope that response was automated. Clearly I stated that I have called and made you aware of this problem. What I didn't mention was my email and additional calls to you. I've called that exact number 3 times since then with no updates, I even asked if you all kept a support ticket or something to track my issue and was told no. Please care more about you're customers and do a little QA before responding with a tone deaf message.”
