Rumpke - Brown County Landfill

“This is the absolute worst trash company I have ever had. I have had multiple bad experiences with rumpke, first they would leave trash in my trash cans and now I’m fighting just to get them to pick my trash up after I moved addresses. I have called multiple times and nothing seems to get done obviously because my trash is plum full with cats getting in it!! I live in a town where rumpke is contracted so they pretty much have you by the balls and will do what they want on their time. I’m not one to complain and gossip on the internet about anyone but this is absolutely ridiculous and if you can avoid getting rumpke do so at all cost! They do not care about their customers or my trash would have been picked up two weeks ago! Please read and be aware!!!”

“Another week and trash still not collected. 08/11/2025. It's becoming a weekly battle each week in Maysville ky to try and get rumpke service. Customer service apologized and gives windows for correction that come and go with no resolve. Trash will sit out for weeks.”

“Worst experience EVER!! Not only did we have issues at our previous address with just taking the trash in the first place, now we have moved to a new address they have picked up our trash ONE time. I have trash for TWO weeks piled up in my yard, now here we go for week 3. Not to mention also currently doing home renovations so my trash just continues to stack up. We have called & called, every time we are told it was error on their end & they will take care of it. They “won’t charge us for last week”. Well um no, obviously you won’t be charging me when you haven’t serviced ANYTHING. I have ALL the emails promising they will be here today (Thursday) to be pick up, wouldn’t mind at all putting those out there. Lo and behold, my trash is still sitting. I reach out AGAIN when I get home from my first job & see everyone’s can is empty and mine is full. I was told “they will tell the supervisor but they have the full business day to pick up”. It’s 7 PM on a Thursday evening & the whole neighborhood has been picked up but us. I have never saw a company so reluctant to just DO THEIR FREAKING JOB!!! I pay my bill on time. I don’t gripe and complain over anything. I’ve never intentionally taken things to the internet but now I will start because absolutely nothing is getting done here & I am totally fed up!! Absolutely pathetic service & customer service for that matter!!”

“If I could give zero stars to the local (Georgetown) Rumpke, I would. Our trash isn't picked up more weeks than it is. Since November 2024, I've had 15 missed pickups where they take much longer than their 48 hour 'limit' to come back out and get it, typically with them not coming back at all until the following week (if even then - I'm currently on my 3rd week of trash build up). Customer Service for Rumpke I've had a great experience with -- they do what they can, escalating it all the way to the top. The issue is that the manager at Georgetown has yet to respond to any email or voicemail about repeated missed service. I'm honestly at a loss for what to do.”
