“My wife and I visited the Virginia War Museum, and as we were exiting to the street, we had a near-miss with one of your loaded roll-off trucks racing down Browns Island Way at approximately 45 mph. We genuinely thought the driver was going to plow through the intersection, but instead, he slammed on the airbrakes and came to a screeching halt. This reckless driving was not only alarming for us but also visibly frightened other pedestrians, including families with young children. I usually don’t offer feedback unless necessary, but I have to address what I observed. As someone born and raised in New York, I’m accustomed to roll-off drivers earning and burning during their shifts. However, what I witnessed earlier was nothing short of reckless. This behavior is unacceptable and needs to be addressed.”
