“As of 2/12/26, I am writing this review as of our experience with the service in the last few months. We have found it super frustrating to have any conversation with the company. Just this week alone, I have called five times and left voicemails after being on hold for 30 minutes at a time. Still no one has returned my calls. Further more, while the rest of us have to go work in these winter conditions and shovel to have our driveway prepped for them, they claim on their messages when you call that our trash is not being picked up due to protecting the safety of their drivers. They have no problem charging you for the next 3 months of service (ex: 2/7/26) but send you no actual messaging that they aren't picking up your trash. Prorate for the now 2 missed pick ups. Communicate things. Lastly, show your customers you will be a reliable service. As of 2/13/26, we received a call from an LRS customer rep who confirmed we would get a credit for the two weeks of no picked up trash and a note would be made on our account for the extra trash ready to be picked up. My review has now gone from 2 to 4 stars. Thank you LRS for doing the right thing by your customers.”
“I have never, not once been able to talk to an actual person at LRS. Calls go to a payment system, emails go unanswered. There are zero prices online. I had a different company that got merged with LRS that had outstanding customer service and I could call and get a local person immediately. I will say the driver is super nice and even came back around one morning to get it after I put it out after his initial run around my block. But I may just have a great driver and I don't take that as a reflection of the company.”
“Having been a customer of Michiana Recycling for years and then when they were bought out by LRS the services have declined. LRS has again for the second time this month did not pick up our trash. I have tried calling to no avail, it either has an automated message about the weather or it disconnects, and your portal does not appear to be working. Your service has been less then reputable this last year. Your customer service needs a lot of work. I would like a response tomorrow regarding the again missed pickup and would like a credit for the weeks that you have failed to provide the service for which we paid.”
“Missed my whole block on the Monday after Christmas. Tried to call but couldn’t get an answer. Waited until Monday after new years to call again to guarantee pickup but still no answer. Ver embarrassed to have so much garbage sitting at the curb for two weeks. Last pickup was 12/22/25. Today is 01/05/25, and it is still out there along with the surrounding blocks.”
“Service is good Never had problem when it was Michiana Recycling. Every year put on vacation hold for 4-5 months without issue with account being paid up until going on vacation. After returning restarted and paid for next three months. This year have gotten at least 15 calls telling us we owe money when we have it stopped! Yesterday got AI assistant which was total BS it just kept saying we owed for service we had stopped! Wife contacted again this morning if this doesn't fix will just cancel service.”
