WASTE CONNECTIONS - GREATER NEW ORLEANS

“Do not use this company, they have a contract that binds the customer for 5 years and automatically renews. After years of not altogether satisfactory service they imposed a 22% rate increase so I decided to look elsewhere. A well respected local company beat their new price by $100 per month. Waste Connections is happy to let me out of the contract for $2500 why use this national company when local contractors with excellent reputations and better prices are happy to take care of you? So I got an email last week saying "we are so sorry we have disappointed you please call our customer service line so that we can set things right. Well I called, it just goes to the operator who handles missed pickups etc, she seemed a bit perplexed but said somebody would call me....... a week later no calls. Do not use Waste Management! I sent them registered letters March 7, May 7 and today June 14 2023 CRICKETS! I did get that computer generated response to my review, called the number and it was just the dispatcher she promised to have someone call me THAT WAS A MONTH AGO! no call, a word to the wise stay away from this company. Finally got confirmation that I can start with the new company April 1 2023, a good thin since I just got a second hike in the price as Waste Connections. This year alone they have gone up 17% I would say that is slightly higher than the inflation rate Until October I was paying $387 per month in December they raised the charge to $402.76 a month in January I got a bill for $478.34 a 25% increase in one year stay away from this company.”

“I am consistently over charged by this company and unfortunately in a contract that they bind you in for 5 years that you cannot cancel. In addition to that, if I make one small change such as adding another trash bin or another service day, the 5 year contract resets. This is egregious. Would not recommend anyone use this company. It is honestly the worst.”

“I just wanted to take the time to point out a gentleman by the name of Darryl Brown who works for waste Connections and by his own accord showed up to our business and replaced our garbage cans politely efficiently and without being requested to do so. It is nice to be around people who more than fill their own space at their job and this guy made my day!!”

“We work with Waste connections at West Jefferson Hospital in Marrero, excellent company, they are quick to respond to requests and excellent communication with customers. Jennifer and Glenn are Managers and I pretty much communicated through texts with both of them, the responses were quick and got same day solutions. Very professional, both of them were proactive. Always gave recommendations to help and stay in compliance. Excellent service.👍🏼👌”
