Grayco opened a building to its residents with promises of incredible luxury amenities (City Views, Roof top terrace, high end finishes, secure parking, and the list goes on). But those living at South Shore District are experiencing quite a different lifestyle. While Grayco attempts to repair the shoddy construction and countless leaks (just have a look in the covered garages any day of the week) water continues to come out of every crack and crevasse, massive mold intrusion issues have made residents ill and the repairs are slow to if at all. At any given time you will find plastic covered windows, huge dehumidifiers attempting to remove the water damage smells and toxins, no access to the famed city view rooftop terrace as its being used to house construction equipment, no use of the balconies because they're attempting to apply materials to the skin of the building in an effort to plug all of the holes and literally sand-bagging resident's patio doors because they don't want pets exposed to the chemicals. The people are enduring a very different lifestyle at South Shore District than what they were promised at the signing of their leases. The secure garage gates have been malfunctioning or simply not working for months and tens of thousands of dollars in personal property has been stolen from the residents of SSD. I am told Grayco' management said to a very ill resident..."Why don't you move out?" Well when people invest tens of thousands of dollars to move into a "Luxury apartment" they do so intending to live a peaceful and enjoyable life for the investment in their lease. I suspect this is only the beginning of a very rocky road for SSD and the residents.”
