“Capital Waste more than doubled the price of the contract over the years with no good reason. In 2 years I paid over $3,700 more than what the contract was for. The excuse was COVID. If this were the case, I would think they should have explained the increases as they went up. There were no such explanations. I have asked for an explanation and the sales rep said that this is how the business works. A new company it taking over my business and they are offering the same price as the original contract. (proof to me there was not a good reason to double the monthly rates). The services are very poor. Missed many pickups, many of the drivers have been very rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend this company to anyone. We are in the Charleston division. Lots of promises but never deliver. I am besides myself once again for the 3rd week of missed pickups and excuses. We did discuss with upper management and they promised change. We have waited and change is not happening fast enough. After the original post, the company was quick to respond. But unfortunately, the results of our talks fizzled out quick and what we discussed in person with sales never came to on paper like they promised. I have to say on the actual garbage pickup end they did clean up a bit. They did go back to night dumps and kept their schedule. Thank you Walter! I am now working with a new company. Capital waste has some work to do on most areas. I do like smaller company's but working with the smaller company's has its challenges as well. I wish them the best and will check back with them in the future but will definitely look hard at the contract b4 signing a new one!”

“UPDATE Feb 2026 - here we are again with not a trash in cans issue but just an overall eye sore while trying to live in a peaceful area. It would be appreciated by our community if you installed a fence cover so we do not have to see nothing but trash dumpster while we attempt to take peaceful stroll around our beautiful pond. UPDATE - after posting CWS started cleaning up the site.. They still have work to do to the gate, fence, and still a little more clean up. Thanks for finally listening to the complaints!. CWS does not send the trash to an authorized dump site. Instead they bring trash to a site next to a residential area. When requested to clean up the area they ignore and add more trash.”

“I've been using Capital Waste Management for two years now. Initially, I was quite pleased with their service, especially since their prices were much less than the old company I used. However, my recent experience has left me quite disappointed. Today, I put limbs at the street for pickup, and you can see in the picture how my driveway was left. Debris was left behind, which is unacceptable. I expect them to pick up everything instead of leaving a mess. 😡😡😡 I was contacted by someone saying a manager would contact me. However that never happened. Now go read my updated response. This company is slack.”

“Very good trash removal, yard waste pickup, and customer service. All very prompt, efficient, courteous, and professional. This is also a special shout out to the crew that picks up yard waste on Mondays in the Legend Oaks area. Great job, guys! Keep up the good work.”
