Ironbound Containers

“Ironbound Containers is not upfront about the way it charges its customers. They charge a card “processing” fee that is not disclosed to the customer at the time of payment. A person cannot rent a dumpster without using a card. I used the dumpster to load a wood fence that I had torn down. I also had to cut out a new fence line since the old fence was overgrown. This required trimming and removing brush. I asked upon renting the dumpster if it was ok to load the brush in the dumpster with the old wood fence. I was told it was ok since it was natural wood and vegetative debris. I also asked the driver when it was delivered and was told it was ok as long as the dumpster wasn’t overloaded. I was charged an extra $75 for a contaminated load. Additionally the dumpster was only 3/4 full at most. The fence was mostly rotted and the wood debris was small in size. There was some concrete attached to the bottom of the posts. I was charged an extra $60 for .8 ton weight overage. I really don’t know if it was overweight because there was no scale ticket attached to the invoice. I cannot recommend this company in lieu of these excessive charges and poor clear communication. On the good side the driver did an excellent job placing and retrieving the dumpster. The woman I spoke with on the phone was very nice and polite.”

“Prices on the website are misleading. They will take advantage of you not knowing the weight of the container. I had 3 containers dropped off and each time they picked one up the weight of the container on the invoice doubled. The last container was nowhere near as heavy as the first. But was charged over $1000 for the third. I will never use this company again. I suggest looking for a different company that is more honest.”

“Do not use this company. Website pricing is for 0 tons. You will be charged a lot extra than expected. The communication between office and driver is horrible. They showed up unannounced without any notice on drop off and picked up unannounced when it was still dark in the morning. I will not be using this company again or would advise anyone else to..”
