GOT DUMPED INC.

“When I first called needing a dumpster to be delivered within the city of Chicago everything was great! Lauren I believe answered the phone, we got disconnected and she called me back from a different number. She answered my questions and I called back and ordered a dumpster from them and paid over the phone with a credit card. The initial drop off was quick they dropped it off that same day I called, even though I needed it for the following Tuesday morning. After that initial phone call however I couldn't get back in touch with them via phone. The day they dropped off the dumpster I went outside to inspect it a few hours later and noticed there was some dirt inside and their website states you can not mix materials and we were going to be tossing in concrete the following morning. So I called back as soon as I saw it and got no answer, so I left a voicemail. I never got a call back for that. We continued on with our project and I notice my card was charged $500. Which wasn't the agreed upon price over the phone it was supposed to be $450, $375 for the dumpster and $75 for the 1-3 day permit. So I called again to try to get in touch to ask about this and ask for the dumpster to be picked up. I got no answer and couldn't leave a voicemail because the voicemail box was full. So I go to their website and send an email through their contact us box to let them know that I've called and didn't get a call back and that we're ready for pick up service. I did receive a reply to my email at 1 am explaining how pick up works and they said they would prioritize our pick up but no expressed regret or apology to not answering calls or getting back to me via the phone. I emailed back at around 9 am today. Saying okay great, and asking about the price discrepancies between what was discussed and what was charged and have yet to receive a reply. They came by to pick up the dumpster, but couldn't due to not having a strong enough chain to pull the dumpster, so they said they'd come back but didn't say when. Everyone at the company seems nice and friendly when we do get to interact with them, but communication is scarce. I was not given a receipt or confirmation for what I ordered and so at this point I have nothing to prove the verbal agreed upon price is different than what I was charged for. I am not savvy about the dumpster process and maybe not giving receipts or confirmations is the norm, but I think it's something the company should consider doing moving forward as well as being more available to answer customer questions.”
