If I could do zero stars, I would. I will be changing services today. Long story short-told my trash day would change, my trash did not get picked up that day, and so I called. Apparently they were wrong and it did not change, so, they were going to pick up my trash the next Monday. Same stores for my neighbor. Monday came, they picked up her trash, not mine. I called. While I was in the phone asking if they were going to get mine too, I watched them drive by my house! They tried to say it must have been my fault and they had no record of me calling. So, waited until my trash day that week again. THEY STILL DID NOT PICK UP MY TRASH! I called. They were gonna pick it up the next day. The next day they texted me and said it would be picked up. They called me to see if it was. I called back. Still no trash pick up! I still have the damn trash! It’s been out every morning, on time. WHY WONT THEY PICK UP MY TRASH? I’ll be changing services this week.

I’ve already reached out regarding my account, and I want to make it clear: I paid for 3 months of service and only received 2. Now you’re trying to charge me $100 just to pick up your own bins — that’s absolutely unreasonable. Your pricing is already inflated, and to then charge customers extra just to return your property is unacceptable. I feel ripped off and taken advantage of. If this isn’t resolved fairly, I’ll be filing formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau, my state attorney general, and my bank for a partial refund. I will also make sure others in my area know how overpriced and unfair your practices are. As of now, I will not be recommending Republic Services to anyone — and I hope you’ll reconsider this unfair fee before this escalates further.

I have been over charged multiple times and upon trying to call to reconcile the issue during their posted business hours it keep getting the message, "our offices are currently closed, please call back during regular business hours". That's exactly what I try to do and I can't get a hold of anyone. I tried the chat feature online and it kept giving me the customer service number which led me in the same vicious cycle. I shouldn't have to keep calling, they negotiated my rate and said it wouldn't change. That lasted for 1-2 billing cycles and then I was overcharged 2 cycles in a row at two different rates. It's a mess and very frustrating that I have to keep taking time out of my day to try to sort this out.

Republic Service is contracted by my apartment complex. This involves 4 separate trash sites for hundreds of people. They give us 4 small dumpsters fur trash and 2 tiny bins for recycling which are green (not blue). When we had a fire in one dumpster, they replaced it with a blue dumpster bit that is also for trash! Therefore, only 4 residents use the recycling bins as they are full or facing backwards and impossible to access. They take TVs, electronics, dishwashers, virtually anything in the dumpsters to the landfill which should be a criminal offense as there are tons of recycling going to the dump daily. Multiply that by the number of complexes they serve in just the Denver area and it is horrendous! No bin is labeled with symbols as to what should be placed inside. Their symbol for their business is similar to the recycling symbol bit it is not! Their tricks are blue which does NOT mean that is a recycling truck—appearances are all Republic cares about and as apartment dwellers we have no say over who our management decides to hire. Republic is fooling the public and needs to be held accountable for their lack of environmental responsibility.

I tried out waste management and republic services for a year each. Republic services doesnt pickup bags of leaves for free in the fall like waste management nor do they offer compost. They expect you to use your normal bins which will take weeks and weeks to dispose of if you have a normal sized yard. This really bothers me. Also, they are more expensive and charge dynamically whereas waste management gives you a consistent flat price. Rs is typically better about consistently picking up each week on the scheduled day but I'd say given the price difference and that they aren't nickel and diming you, just use WM
