What customers say

Real reviews from Tacoma customers

Quick and painless process. The two gentlemen that came were quick and courteous. The rate for taking an old mattress, desk, and miscellaneous item was cheap and a rate that I can appreciate as a single mom on a budget. I am so grateful for their service and highly recommend this company.

We had a great experience working with Hoss. Communication was simple and clear. They dropped off the dumpster when we needed it. They took it away when we needed it gone. Best of all, they had the best price over anyone else out there, including the city of Tacoma. Thanks Hoss.

Great place to dump clean wood and as of August 2025, clean wood is approximately $80 a ton to dump and it's a one ton minimum on the weekdays, but on Saturdays they will pro rate it for you only on saturday

What size dumpster do you need in Tacoma?

Roofing Projects

A typical Tacoma roof tear-off generates 3–5 tons of shingles and underlayment. A 20–30 yard dumpster handles most single-layer residential roofs, but go with a 30 if you have a multi-layer strip or architectural shingles. Ask your hauler about weight limits — asphalt shingles are heavy and overweight fees in Washingtoncan add $75–$150 per extra ton.

Kitchen Remodels

Kitchen gut-outs produce cabinets, countertops, flooring, and drywall — bulky but relatively light. A 10–15 yard dumpster is usually enough for a standard kitchen demo in Tacoma. If you're removing tile flooring or concrete countertops, size up to a 20 yard to stay under the weight cap.

Estate Cleanouts

Clearing an entire home in Tacomatypically requires a 20–30 yard dumpster. Furniture, mattresses, clothing, and household items fill space fast. Plan for 2–3 loads if the property has a garage, attic, and basement. Schedule a 7–14 day rental so you can sort donations from trash without rushing.

Garage Cleanouts

Most Tacomagarage cleanouts fit comfortably in a 10–15 yard dumpster. That covers accumulated tools, storage bins, old furniture, and miscellaneous junk. If you're also tearing out shelving, drywall, or a workbench, bump up to a 20 yard to be safe.

Construction Projects

New builds, additions, and major renovations in Tacoma generate heavy mixed debris — concrete, lumber, drywall, and metal. A 30–40 yard dumpster is standard for active job sites. Most contractors in Washington keep a roll-off on site for the full project duration and swap it out when full.
