Bookshelf / Shelving
Disposal Rules
Bookshelves, wire shelving, and storage units are accepted in dumpsters. Disassemble modular units to save space. Particleboard shelving breaks apart easily with a pry bar.
Pro Tip
Remove shelves and stack all flat pieces together. Particleboard is easy to break into smaller sections by hand.
Alternatives
Donate intact bookshelves to thrift stores or list them free on community boards. They move quickly.
