The 10 Best Dumpster Rental Companies in Montgomery, AL (2026 DCS-Ranked)

Surprising finding: Montgomery has 16 dumpster rental operators listed on Google Maps — more than Birmingham (15), Mobile (15), or Huntsville (14). Montgomery is, by operator count, the largest dumpster rental market in Alabama.

And yet it has zero Elite-tier operators.

That's not a typo. We scored all 16 using our independent [DCS Score](/methodology), and the highest-scoring Montgomery operator clocks in at DCS 76 (Exceptional tier). Birmingham, Mobile, and Huntsville all have at least one Elite-tier operator above 85 DCS. Montgomery doesn't.

> Context: Alabama has the 3rd-worst [ghost listing rate in the country](/blog/alabama-dumpster-rental-ghost-listings-investigation) at 14.2%, and Montgomery is the single worst metro in the state for it. Of Montgomery's 16 listings, 7 are in the Listed tier (below 40 DCS) and several look like ghost listings with no reviews or single-digit review counts. Read the list below carefully.

The Top 10 Montgomery Dumpster Rental Operators

1. Southern Dumpster LLC — DCS 76 (Exceptional)

5.0 stars · 50 reviews

The highest-scoring dumpster rental operator in Montgomery. Located on Oliver Rd in the 36117 area. 5.0 stars across 50 reviews — not the biggest sample in Alabama, but the most consistent one in Montgomery. If you want the safest Montgomery pick, this is it.

2. Industrial Dumpster Services — DCS 60 (Highly Recommended)

5.0 stars · 11 reviews

Smaller operator on E Fleming Rd. 11 reviews, all 5-star. Industrial is specialized toward job-site and commercial accounts, but they'll do residential roll-offs on request. Good fallback when Southern is booked.

3. Massie Services Dumpster Rental — DCS 60 (Highly Recommended)

5.0 stars · 4 reviews

Very small review sample (4), which is why the score is in the Highly Recommended tier instead of higher. Downtown Montgomery (Dexter Ave). Worth calling for a quote but get everything in writing before you commit.

4. Montgomery Dumpster Rental Bros — DCS 60 (Highly Recommended)

5.0 stars · 3 reviews

Same street as Southern Dumpster (Oliver Rd). Only 3 reviews but all 5-star. Name is direct, which is either a good sign (straightforward operator) or an SEO choice (exact-match domain play). Call and evaluate the phone conversation.

5. Speedy Junk and Trash Removal — DCS 53 (Good)

4.6 stars · 26 reviews

Primarily a junk-removal operator that also does dumpster drops. 26 reviews at 4.6 stars is the first Montgomery listing with enough review volume to be statistically meaningful. Good pick if you need a crew to load the dumpster as well as deliver it.

6. Circle J Roll Offs - Montgomery — DCS 53 (Good)

4.2 stars · 10 reviews

Traditional roll-off operator on Northern Blvd. 4.2 stars is below the 4.5 quality threshold we typically look for, but 10 reviews gives you enough signal that it's not a ghost listing. Serviceable for straightforward residential jobs.

7. Inoshi Dumpster Rentals — DCS 52 (Good)

5.0 stars · 1 review

Only 1 review. Small new operator on Martha St. Not enough signal to recommend confidently — if the top 4 are booked, call Inoshi and treat it like hiring a new contractor: references, written quote, pay on delivery.

8. Central Alabama Transfer Station — DCS 49 (Good)

5.0 stars · 3 reviews

Hunter Loop Rd. Technically a transfer station that also offers dumpster rental services. 3 reviews is a very small sample. Potentially a good option for heavy debris (concrete, dirt) since transfer stations handle disposal themselves and can price aggressively on heavy loads — but verify the quote in writing.

9. J & K Materials & Trucking Inc — DCS 45 (Good)

4.1 stars · 14 reviews

Hauling company on Alabama River Pkwy. 14 reviews at 4.1 stars. Lower rating but enough reviews to trust the average. Better for commercial fleet customers than residential one-offs.

10. Waste Management (WM) - Montgomery Hauling — DCS 37 (Listed)

2.0 stars · 83 reviews

Here's the honest inclusion. WM is a national waste giant and the Montgomery yard has 83 reviews — more than any other Montgomery dumpster listing. But the rating is 2.0 stars, which drops the DCS Score into the Listed tier. We include it at #10 because the alternatives below it are worse, not because it's a good choice. Reviews cite billing issues, missed pickups, and aggressive collections. Skip WM for residential. Use it only if you need a commercial hauling contract and have no better option.

What About the Other 6 Operators?

Montgomery's remaining 6 operators are all in the Listed tier (below 40 DCS), and most of them fit the ghost-listing profile:

  • BinBuddy Rentals — 1 review, 1.0 star. Don't call.
  • David Jordan & Co — 7 reviews, 1.6 stars. Don't call.
  • Three additional listings with zero reviews, no ratings, or both.
We're not naming every one because the point of this analysis isn't to shame small operators — it's to give you a shortlist you can actually use. If a Montgomery company doesn't appear in the top 10 above, we don't recommend it.

The Montgomery Trust Problem, In One Chart

TierMontgomery Operators
Elite (85+)0
Exceptional (70-84)1
Highly Recommended (55-69)3
Good (40-54)5
Listed (<40)7
44% of Montgomery dumpster rental operators are in the Listed tier. That's almost double the Alabama statewide average (25.8%) and it's the worst metro in the state.

Why? Our best guess: Montgomery's a mid-sized capital city with real demand but no dominant local operator to set the standard. Birmingham has Junk King and VaVia anchoring the top of the market. Mobile has Bin There Dump That and Dauphin. Huntsville has Bin There Dump That. Montgomery doesn't have an anchor, so the whole market drifts toward the bottom — and scammers and ghost listings fill the vacuum.

Montgomery Dumpster Rental Pricing

Montgomery pricing runs slightly lower than Birmingham due to the smaller, less-contested market:

SizeTypical Price Range
10 yard$250–$350
20 yard$320–$430
30 yard$390–$510
40 yard$460–$620
Montgomery-specific watch-out: because the market is so fragmented and ghost-heavy, price shopping here is more dangerous than in Birmingham. The lowest quote you get is frequently from an operator we'd put in the Listed tier. Pay for trust, not the bottom-line quote. The $30–$50 you save by going with a questionable operator can turn into a $200+ overage fee or a dumpster that never gets picked up.

How to Book in Montgomery

1. Start with Southern Dumpster LLC (top pick). If they're booked, move down the list. 2. Call 2 operators from the top 5 — do not shop the Listed tier on price alone. 3. Ask explicitly: "What's the weight limit and what happens if I go over?" 4. Get the quote in writing via text or email before you pay a dime. 5. Never pay 100% up front via Zelle or Venmo. A small booking fee or pay-on-delivery is standard. 6. If the operator can't give you a clear answer on weight limits, landfill surcharges, or rental period, hang up and call the next one.
